Why do you need my bank account
This information is gathered as part of the verification process. Stripe, our payment processor, verifies your SSN to confirm that you are the owner of the associated business entity and are authorized to conduct business under the EIN. The bank account information is gathered both because we need to information for deposits, but also to cross-reference the bank account with the business. This protects the account from ever being changed to an account that isn't directly connected to the business entity. These are all security protocols from Stripe. For both the bank account and the SSN, once entered, Stripe obfuscates the information, so no one (including DentalHQ) can view or access the details.
Periodically, STRIPE will ask for a re-verification (approximately every two years) of some of the information, to ensure the practice has not changed hands, etc. They have simply put these measures in place as checks and balances, for optimum security.
