What does it mean when a member's status is "Late"?
When a member misses a scheduled payment, the account is flagged as "Late".
Both you and that member are notified by email that the payment failed, and the member is provided a unique link to submit updated payment information. The payment will be automatically retried up to a total of 7 times in a 28 day period.
Changing the payment method on file will automatically attempt to collect the missed payment.
Once the immediate issue is resolved, it may be worthwhile to determine if changing the withdrawal date would resolve potential cashflow issues. If so, let us know and we can adjust the dates for the future payments.
If a member payment fails all of automatic retries, their account is becomes Delinquent and is canceled for non-payment. Both you and the member are notified by email when the account becomes Delinquent, and you are responsible for collections at this point.
